Modern Warfare 3 has continued the crossplay tradition and allows players to play with friends across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
Long gone are the days of Xbox and PlayStation users being separated or consoles not mixing with PC.
However, some players want to avoid playing with mouse and keyboard players, for instance, and therefore wish to know how to turn off crossplay in MW3.
How to turn off crossplay in MW3 on Xbox
Xbox users need to head to the Privacy and Online Safety menu within Call of Duty.
From there, head to the Communication and Multiplayer sections, and change the setting to “Block.”
How to turn off crossplay in MW3 on PlayStation
Those playing on a PlayStation, navigate to the Account & Network tab in settings.
Subsequently, select Crossplay and turn it off.
How to turn off crossplay in MW3 on PC
Unfortunately, for those on PC, you can’t turn off crossplay.
Whether you use a controller or mouse and keyboard, you will be paired against anyone and everyone.
