As you may know, some of the Wonder Weapons play a key role in the main quest for the different maps in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
You need Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 for the Liberty Falls main quest, the Beamsmasher for the Terminus main quest, the Bastard Sword for Citadelle des Morts, and finally, the latest addition, Staff of Ice, for The Tomb main quest.
Since we have already covered in detail how you can get the Staff of Ice, we will share the steps for upgrading it in this guide.
How to upgrade the Staff of Ice
There are three significant steps that you must complete to upgrade the Staff of Ice in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
- Shooting down three blue flame lanterns
- Shooting down floating platforms and solving rune puzzle
- Charging the orb with souls
Shooting down the lanterns
To upgrade the Staff of Ice in Black Ops 6 Zombies, you must first shoot down three lamps with blue flames within 10 seconds or so.
So before you start, look around the map and choose a suitable spot from where you can find three blue flame lamps close to one another.
Shoot them down once you have found the spot using the Staff of Ice. If done correctly, Archibald will speak, confirming that you have done the step correctly.
Head to Dark Aether Nexus
The next step requires you to head to the Dark Aether Nexus. Once inside, look in the sky, and you will find three floating rocks with symbols below them.
Shoot them with the Staff of Ice to lower them, write down the symbols, remember them, or take a screenshot because you need them for the next step.
Once you shoot down the three floating rocks, one of the portals inside the Dark Aether Nexus will close. It varies each run, so check which one has closed.
After that, head to the entrance of that portal from the other side, and you will find a bunch of symbols on the portal door.
Shoot the ones that were found below the floating rocks. Once you do that, the portal door will open again. Take it, and you will find yourself on top of a floating rock with a blue orb.
Following and charging the orb
In this phase, you must follow the blue orb and quickly kill zombies and elite enemies around it to charge it with their souls.
Do not get downed, and quickly kill zombies around the orb. It will circle around the Dark Aether Nexus and stop at the ritual site at the center where you build the Staff of Ice.
If done correctly, the orb will charge the altar at the ritual site, and it will start glowing. Now, go closer and press the interact button to upgrade the Staff of Ice.
