Treyarch reviewed and enhanced all the classic core modes, implementing improvements to ensure they deliver an exceptional gameplay experience. These enhancements include refined mechanics for popular modes like Domination and Hardpoint, which now offer even more dynamic and balanced gameplay.

Additionally, Treyarch has introduced an entirely new mode called Kill Order, set to debut during the beta phase, promising to bring fresh excitement and strategic depth to the Multiplayer roster.

Kill Order is an intense 6v6 respawn mode where two teams compete to outscore each other by targeting High Value Targets (HVTs).

Each team designates a specific HVT, and while players earn points for all enemy eliminations, the highest rewards come from taking down the opposing team’s HVT. Eliminations by the HVT also yield substantial points, with standard eliminations offering the least.

The mode encourages strategic focus on eliminating the HVT for maximum points, adding a high-stakes layer to the gameplay and requiring teams to balance their efforts between protecting their HVT and pursuing the enemy’s.

TDM remains a staple mode, offering fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled gameplay where two teams of six face off in a battle to reach a set score limit.

The core objective is straightforward: eliminate as many opponents as possible while working together with your team to outscore the enemy.

Domination

Domination mode offers a strategic twist on traditional team-based combat by focusing on capturing and holding key objectives across the map.

In this mode, two teams vie for control over three distinct capture points, with the primary goal being to secure and maintain dominance over these locations to accumulate points over time.

For Black Ops 6, each Domination flag has been redesigned with a larger scoring area and a more prominent visual marker, now referred to as a “Zone.” This change enhances tactical gameplay by providing more strategic options for both attackers and defenders.

Hardpoint

Hardpoint mode takes the concept of objective-based gameplay to the next level by challenging teams to contest and control rotating zones on the map. Each Hardpoint location appears sequentially, requiring players to adapt their strategies as the objective shifts.

To enhance strategic depth and promote effective teamwork, each Hardpoint zone in Black Ops 6 is now assigned a number, allowing players to clearly communicate and coordinate their movements. By calling out these numbers and managing rotations like the pros, teams can better organize their efforts and adapt to the shifting objectives.

Face Off

Face Off mode in Black Ops 6 adheres to the rules of specific game modes, such as Team Deathmatch, but with a notable twist: Scorestreaks are disabled.

This change shifts the focus from earning streak rewards to pure, skill-based combat, emphasizing players’ tactical and shooting abilities.

Gunfight

Gunfight is an intense 2v2 mode set exclusively on Strike maps. In this single-life format, teams compete to either eliminate their opponents or capture a central zone that becomes active periodically.

Each player starts with identical Loadouts for every round, which are randomized each time, ensuring that battles remain unpredictable and skill-focused. The match continues until one team secures the required number of wins.
