Now that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is out in the wild, we have access to two new guns: The BP50 and the Ram-9 SMG. We’re going to focus on the BP50 and break down the pros and cons of using this weapon.
We have also recommended an early build that improves its already impressive recoil control despite a high firing rate.
Getting to know the new BP50
Based on the real-life FN F2000, this Assault Rifle in its standard configuration boasts an impressive firing rate at 857.1 RPM (Rounds Per Minute) with a consistent and predictable recoil pattern as seen in the image below.
This means that with the right amount of recoil vertical compensation made by the user, you can ensure that your shots are consistent and on target even at full auto.
Like with most other builds, we recommend attachments that primarily improve recoil control. Additionally, because of the high rate of fire and relatively slow empty reload, we encourage increasing magazine capacity with the 45-round mag to have longer sustainability during engagements. Here is a list of recommended weapon attachments.
Muzzle | VT-7 Spitfire Suppressor |
Underbarrel | Bruen Heavy Support Grip |
Optic | Slate Reflector |
Stock | Forbearer Heavy Stock |
Magazine | 45 Round Mag |
Compared to the MCW, arguably Season 1’s most used assault rifle, we can immediately see how the BP50 and MCW were built to excel in different ranges with the former excelling at close encounters. For larger maps with longer-range gunfights, you could potentially increase the BP50’s range viability with Barrel, Muzzle, and Ammunition weapon attachments. That being said, due to its short effective base range, you may as well then use another weapon like the MCW for those scenarios.
For all you stat enthusiasts out there, below you can find a list of stats comparing these two weapons.
