Weapon nerfs and buffs in Warzone Season 6 patch notes

The STG44, which rapidly established itself as a top-tier assault rifle after its debut last season, received a major nerf to its damage range. This adjustment specifically targets the weapon’s overwhelming dominance in mid to long range engagements.

In contrast, the BP50, Holger 556, and MCW have all been buffed with improved range, encouraging players to shift away from the STG44 in favor of these newly-buffed ARs, which now offer superior performance in long-range gunfights.

Additionally, the RAAL MG light machine gun equipped with the JAK Protean Conversion Kit has seen its damage multiplier reduced, specifically targeting its semi-auto firing mode. This tweak aims to tone down the weapon’s formidable two-shot kill potential, preventing it from being overly dominant while still maintaining its punch.

Alongside these changes, several submachine guns have had their damage range extended, making them more viable in mid-range skirmishes. A handful of battle rifles received improved recoil control and firing aim stability, enhancing their capability in sustained firing.
