Looking for the best ASG 89 loadout in Black Ops 6? This ONE Esports guide has got you covered.

ASG-89 is one of the most powerful semi-auto shotguns in Black Ops 6. The main advantage of the shotgun is its high fire rate which allows you to shoot shells faster.

As of now, there are only two shotguns available in the game: the ASG-89 and Marine SP. When both are compared, the ASG-89 is a better choice for running and gunning. For slower pick-and-shoot situations, the Marine SP is a more suitable option.

Since ASG-89 lacks range, it is best to keep another primary weapon to compensate for that. With this loadout, we’ll provide attachment settings for the ASG-89 and suggest two other primaries that go well with it.

The ASG-89’s biggest strength as a shotgun is its high fire rate. This allows the shotgun to shoot multiple shells within a few seconds. We don’t want to hamper this potency with this loadout.

Instead, we want to make it a run-and-gun cannon. To make the ASG-89 function like that in Black Ops 6, the following attachments are required:

Fire ModsRapid Fire
MuzzleFull Choke
StockLight Stock
LaserSteady Aim Laser
Rear GripAssault Grip

To reduce hipfire spread, we’ve chosen a Full Choke. This will compress the bullet spread and make your shots as centered as possible.

The hipfire spread can be improved further by adding a Steady Aim Laser. However, this is also giving away your position as the laser is visible to all while in hipfire mode.

To enhance hipfire movement, pick a Light Stock. Additionally, the Light Stock increases both normal and strafing movement speeds.

Since the ASG-98 is an assault shotgun, you can attach a rear grip. We’ve chosen Assault Grip as it makes sprint-to-fire speed faster. You can also use the CQB Grip here, as it does the same with the added benefits of dive-to-fire and slide-to-fire speed boost.

Finally, add the Radip Fire mod to increase the rate of fire and rechamber speed. However, having this increases the recoil a lot and the damage range is decreased.

Second primary weapon to pick with the ASG-89

Since the ASG-89 in Black Ops 6 lacks range, it is best to pick another primary. Whether you prefer an AR or SMG, it’s your choice entirely. The following weapons and attachments seem to work well this loadout.

Assault Rifle – XM4

Field Upgrades and Equipment to pick

Having extra tricks in the pocket is always beneficial in Black Ops 6. The following equipment and field upgrade work the best with this loadout:

  • Melee – Knife: You can instantly kill anyone with a single hit when up close.
  • Tactical – Stim Shot: You get instantly healed and receive renewed tactical sprint on use.
  • Lethal – Combat Axe: A throwable axe that can ricochet and kill anyone instantly on landing. This can be picked up again after use.
  • Field Upgrade – Spring Mine: An explosive device that detonates on enemy presence.

The ASG-89 excels in close combat situations but is short-handed when it comes to medium or long-range. Thus, we recommend carrying another primary for such combat situations.
