Black Ops 6 Ranked Play is set to start on November 21, 2024, a week after the launch of the Season 1 update. Eager players are especially excited to try out the newly introduced Perks in competitive matches.
The two new Perks are standout items, allowing sweaty ranked players to weed out enemies and stay stealthy on the field.
BO6 currently offers 21 Perks, excluding the combat specialties. With the release of Season 1, players will have 23 Perks to choose from, and the latest additions could quickly become fan favorites.
These are the two new Perks coming in Black Ops 6 Season 1
According to a recent blog post, the new Perks will be added to the game as part of the Season 1 content.
The Strategist Perk “Shadow” will be available immediately, while the Recon Perk “Shrapnel Radar” is set for a mid-season release. Shadow is meant for Perk slot 2, whereas Radar goes in slot 3.
Activision has shared the function of each Perk, and it sounds promising.
In Multiplayer, enemies often place traps and mines that are tough to detect for players with an aggressive playstyle. Shadow will allow them to run through these traps without getting detected.
Additionally, this Perk eliminates the need to equip all green Perks just to unlock the Strategist specialty unless your main focus is earning Scorestreaks.
Meanwhile, Radar Shrapnel allows players to gain more info on the move. When you toss a grenade or any explosive that deals damage, affected enemies will be highlighted on the minimap.
With this, players will be encouraged to use their utility and learn wall bangs to get kills. Besides ranked, the Recon perk will come in handy in fast-paced objective modes to stack up XP and earn Scorestreaks.
Both of these Perks will be released alongside a shiny new Wildcard called High Roller and a deadly Scorestreak called Hand Cannon.
