Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 is on the horizon, and with it comes some brand new weapons, including the highly-anticipated M13C assault rifle. The official follow-up to the M13B.
Given Season 5 is expected to be the final season prior to the launch of Modern Warfare 3, fans are hopeful that the game goes out with a bang.

The M13C assault requires a successful mission in Modern Warfare 2
When it comes to Season 5, fans can expect tons of new content, including new modes, new maps, new events, DMZ updates, an updated battle pass, and some new operator skins for Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage. This thing is packed.
The official announcement for Season 5 describes the new sniper by saying, “The .300 BLK counterpart to the M13B, this full-auto Assault Rifle is versatile and hard-hitting as a main weapon or sniper support secondary.“
That means it could pair well with the new Carrack .300 sniper coming with the launch of Season 5.
In order to unlock the new assault rifle players will need to complete the “assist in killing five commanders” challenge in the Shadow Siege event in Modern Warfare 2. The event was launched as part of the August 17 Modern Warfare 3 reveal.
According to the announcement, “Juggernauts, Boss Choppers, and Wheelsons all count towards this challenge.”
For the quickest and easiest chance at success, you’ll most likely want to get together with a squad and bring your strongest weaponry. Once you start finding and taking down the tough enemies, you’ll have the assault rifle in no time.
