With the release of Black Ops 6 Warzone Season 1 just around the corner, players are buzzing with one big question: “Will player level reset?”

Black Ops 6 launched on October 25, 2024, but its integration into Warzone has been notably absent—until now. Season 1 is set to integrate BO6 into the popular battle royale title when it releases on November 14.

Will player level reset in Black Ops 6 Warzone Season 1? Progression explained

Yes, your player level in Warzone will be reset to 1 when the Season 1 update drops. Activision confirmed this in their official pre-launch blog, saying: “Your player level will be reset to 1, and you’ll earn XP to progress through 55 Player Level Unlocks, gaining access to Weapons, Equipment, Killstreaks, and Perks as you go.”

Black Ops 6 Prestige system: How to rank up and earn rewards

The developers have decided to do it to streamline the Prestige system into Warzone from Black Ops 6 Multiplayer. This means if you’re already deep into BO6 Multiplayer and have leveled up significantly, your player level will remain intact.

The change is mainly for new players or the ones who solely play Warzone and will be transitioning to the new season.

The Prestige system being integrated into Warzone means once you reach Player Level 55, you can choose to relock most items, grind again, and get some exclusive rewards in return.

Will your weapon progress also reset in Warzone Season 1?

No, your weapon progress will be intact when the Warzone Season 1 update arrives. All of your Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 2, and Modern Warfare 3 weapon progress will get carried over and you won’t need to grind again for attachments and camos.

Speaking of weapons, Season 1 also adds a bunch of new guns to the arsenal, including the Krig C assault rifle, Saug SMG, Maelstrom shotgun, and AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle.

While Krig C and Saug will be available right away at launch, Maelstrom and AMR Mod 4 will be released at later dates.
