The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded update introduces notable changes in Fortune’s Keep.
This includes the addition of mobile points of interest such as the Research Vessel, the Portable Decontamination Station, and the new Bunker Buster Killstreak.
The introduction of the Bunker Buster Killstreak stands out, as it has potential to alter player strategies, particularly against campers.
In the past, Warzone players had limited options against enemies holed up in buildings, primarily relying on grenades with limited range to disable or take them out.
This had limitations, primarily getting close to an effective grenade range which meant that you’d have to expose yourself trying to get closer.
Another method is the use of Killstreaks like the Precision Airstrike.
While these were effective in cleaning up enemies out in the open, damaging enemies in cover was another story as buildings often got in the way.
New Bunker Buster Killstreak makes nowhere safe
The Bunker Buster addresses these challenges by penetrating multiple building levels, offering a direct counter to distant snipers.
With its ability to penetrate multiple levels in a building, the Bunker Buster is able to damage, if not take out, snipers from afar.
Combined with a UAV, it also enables preemptive strikes, easing movement through risky areas especially in the final few circles.
Not only would this be useful as a counter-sniper tool, but this Killstreak can also serve as a way to finish off a downed enemy who is too far behind cover in a building without players needing to run up to them.
While the full impact of the Bunker Buster remains to be seen, including potential limitations in open spaces and the requirement of a Killstreak slot, its introduction could significantly shift gameplay dynamics.
