ONE Esports breaks down the Warzone update released on September 24, 2024 (US time), highlighting the most important changes and how they affect the overall balance of the game.

Warzone patch notes: DTIR 30-06 nerfed, broken attachments fixed

Introduced at the launch of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 6, the DTIR 30-06 battle rifle quickly established itself as a top-tier weapon due to its exceptional recoil control, making it highly effective in mid-to-long-range gunfights.

In an effort to balance this powerhouse, the latest Warzone update increased the rifle’s gun kick from 27.5 degrees to 32 degrees, reducing its overall stability.

Additionally, several barrel and stock attachments tied to the DTIR 30-06 received nerfs, specifically targeting their gun kick and recoil control to further temper its dominance.

Two new attachments—the Caster-X1 Compensator muzzle and Bracefire-HC Grip underbarrel—were also addressed, with fixes applied to ensure they function as intended.

Previously, the Caster-X1 Compensator mistakenly increased aim down sight (ADS) speed instead of decreasing it, while the Bracefire-HC Grip allowed for an abnormally fast movement speed while in Tactical Stance.

With the update, the compensator now correctly applies an ADS speed penalty, and the Bracefire-HC Grip no longer supports Tac Stance.
