Players need to complete a variety of challenges in Modern Warfare 3 to unlock certain weapons, aftermarket parts, and more in-game items.
One of the types of challenges is getting a specific type of Operator Kills, called Akimbo Kills.
In this ONE Esports guide, we explain how to get Akimbo kills in the game so you can easily finish this challenge.
How to get Akimbo Kills easily
You can get Akimbo kills using Akimbo weapons, i.e. dual-wielding handguns, SMGs and shotguns. These need to be equipped in the loadout section via the Gunsmith.
Some of the guns have the Akimbo option in the Rear Grip section, while others have it as a Conversion Kit.
You cannot aim down sights with Akimbo weapons, so you’ll have to use them in hipfire mode. As such, they are best used at close-range.
You’ll need to use attachments that improve hipfire accuracy, along with armor-piercing ammo rounds to swiftly take down enemies.
To get Akimbo kills easily, it is recommended you play in Small Map Mosh Pit playlists as they are more suited to close-range combat. Additionally, Hardcore playlists are also a convenient way to get these.
If you’re bored of Multiplayer, you can always play Zombies and take down hordes of undead in classic Akimbo style.
