With Armory Pass, Valve has introduced Counter-Strike’s first-ever time-limited skin, Desert Eagle Heat Treated. Here’s how to get this rare skin.

CS2 reigns supreme in the FPS genre for highly coveted skins, often commanding eye-popping price tags. Some rare skins are so coveted that players are willing to spend millions of dollars to acquire them.

It seems Valve is now taking it to the next level by introducing a time-limited skin that comes in unique patterns and wears.

On October 3, Valve lifted the curtain on Deagle Heat Treated, which uses similar mapping of the Case Hardened texture as spotted in Five-Seven Case Hardened skin. The fact that it’s not easily acquired makes it even more special.

How to get the Deagle Heat Treated skin

Deagle Heat Treated can be acquired by purchasing the Armory Pass worth $15.99 and then earning 25 Armory Credits. It can only be claimed within the first 103 days of the pass.

Unlike other items in the pass, Deagle Heat Treated is priced exuberantly at 25 stars. While players can take their sweet time to unlock other items, this rare skin will leave the store on January 13, 2025.

While three months might sound like enough time to earn 25 credits, the real catch lies in the pattern and wear of Deagle Heat Treated.

According to Valve, each Heat Treated Deagle is unique in its wear and pattern. Since this skin looks similar to the pricey Case Hardened pattern in CS2, it’s possible that lucky players may be able to unlock a pattern with a perfect balance of gold and blue.

In terms of wear, landing a battle-scarred Deagle is not exactly the best use of 25 credits. Players will aim for a Factory New variant, which may take several rolls.

Note that each pass comes with a single roll. If your Deagle Heat Treated isn’t to your liking, you can try again by buying an additional pass.
