Team Liquid has an empty spot on its Counter-Strike 2 roster following the decision to bench Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov, and it seems the organization has its eyes set on one player in particular.
Considered by most to be the best in-game leader currently not signed to an organization’s starting roster in CS2, Casper “cadiaN” Moller is the target to fill Liquid’s open spot, according to well-known leaker OverDrive on X.

Team Liquid has its eyes set on a Danish superstar
CadiaN was moved to the bench of Danish organization Heroic in early October, citing “differing visions for the future of the team,” as the reason behind the move that shocked the community.
The move came following Heroic’s recent drop in form. The team, which looked strong just months ago, recently found themselves eliminated earlier than anticipated at BLAST.tv Paris Major, IEM Cologne, and IEM Dallas, before their performance got even worse at ESL Pro League Season 18.
Since then, it’s been anyone’s guess as to where the Danish superstar may end up. OverDrive had previously mentioned either Liquid or Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas as possible landing spots for the 28-year-old. However, now Liquid is the “highest priority option for him,” the leak states.
Moving him into the Liquid lineup would free up Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis from the leadership position, allowing him to focus more on his rifling. This is one reason why many think this could be the best move for both the organization and the in-game leader to make.
On the flip side, this move would also mean Joshua “oSee” Ohm’s role as the team’s primary AWP user could be up for grabs. The only other option would be that the new addition gives it up himself, which would be a bold move, but a possible one.
