Team Liquid is in a rebuilding stage when it comes to its Counter-Strike 2 division, and they’ve brought back an old friend to do it.
Wilton “zews” Prado returns as the head coach of the Team Liquid CS2 team. He returns to the organization five years after his first time filling the coaching role.

The 36-year-old will fill the shoes left by Damian “daps” Steele, who has returned to a position as a player, being the in-game leader for the new NRG roster.
The only two players that remain on the Liquid lineup from its most recent five-man squad are Keith “NAF” Markovic and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis. Joining the duo is Felipe “skullz” Medeiros, who the organization added just prior to the coaching announcement.
During his previous reign as the team’s head coach, Prado spent two years with the brand and helped guide them to a peak of No. 1 in the world according to the HLTV Rankings in 2018. This was thanks to a victory at cs_summit 2, alongside second-place finishes at ESL One New York and IEM Chicago.
He’ll be looking to guide the final iteration of this Liquid roster to even greater heights as they head into 2024. It’s currently expected that Casper “cadiaN” Møller and Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken will be the final two players added, but we’re in a place where all we can do is wait and see.
