Legendary video games company, Atari, just announced its newest venture: Atari Hotels.
Popular among retro gamers for its Video Computer System (VCS), the company will be building video game-themed hotels all across the United States.
Arizona’s capital city Phoenix will be the first location for the Atari Hotel. Construction is set to begin sometime in the middle of the year.
The hotel chain promises fans “a unique lodging experience” with the latest in virtual reality and augmented reality suited for all ages, according to Atari Hotels.
In the future, some of these hotels will also be esports destinations for tournaments and show matches.
After Arizona, the hotel chain will expand to neighboring cities Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, and San Jose.

“We are thrilled to partner with GSD Group and True North Studio to build the first-ever Atari branded hotels across the United States. Together we’ll build a space that will be much more than just a place to stay,” said Chesnais.
