Who plays Pakku in Netflix’s Avatar live action series?
The character is played by American actor A Martinez, who starred in several notable shows such as Santa Barbara (1984) and Dark Winds (2022).
He is also known for his iconic roles such as Father Frank in Curse of Chucky (2013) and as a gang leader in Ambulance (2022).

He made his first appearance in episode 7, “The North,” where the Northern Water Tribe chieftain Arnook (Nathaniel Arcand) introduced him as the tribe’s waterbending teacher.
However, due to his traditionalist views, he initially refused to teach Katara more about waterbending attacks, stating that women of the tribe were only taught healing abilities, even when she outclassed him in a duel.
In episode eight, “Legends,” during the Fire Nation’s siege on the city, Katara once again asked him for permission to fight.
Initially about to refuse, he had a change of heart when he witnessed many women waterbenders of the tribe rallying behind Katara to aid in their defense.
After the water tribe’s victory, Pakku approached Katara once again, apologizing for his earlier actions and asking if she could become a teacher for the tribe.

However, she declined, stating that her mission requires her to focus on teaching Aang waterbending.
Before departing, Pakku gave Katara a necklace, signifying that she is always welcome to visit the tribe.
