Featuring an amazing pool of both talent and players, ESL One Birmingham was incredible tournament, with amazing Dota 2 action from start to finish. To cap it off, here are the top ten tournament moments you may have missed:

OG’s Grimstroke and Warlock combo

Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka’s “Soulbind” ultimate synergized well with Johan “N0tail” Sundstein’s “Fatal Bonds” ability which links enemies together and shares damage done to one hero to those linked. Grimstroke’s ultimate doubles this effect, letting OG melt down TNC’s heroes incredibly fast.

Liquid’s GH with the cliff deny

With Artour “Arteezy” Babaev getting consistency cliffed, other teams have seen this as a viable strategy to take an enemy carry away from a team fight, but that’s not happening with Liquid’s Maroun “GH” Merhej on the watch.

EG’s Arteezy and Sumail cliff themselves

There are times when the only option is to up the cliff yourself and hope it all works out. There’s no getting down from there, unless you’re given a ladder at the mainstage.

Alliance’s Taiga makes an Aegis snatch

Stealing the Aegis of the Immortal can make or break any game of Dota 2, which is why it’s one of the most difficult moves to pull off since it requires picture perfect timing and a bit of luck.

Liquid Matumbaman and his lag inducing spiderlings

Everyone knows that lag is a pro players worst enemy, but in this particular instance, lag is the result of being a really good Broodmother carry player.

OG’s JerAx jukes Liquid’s Mindcontrol and GH

OG’s support player basically outfoxed two of the best Dota 2 players in the world. His quick change of directions and “Spiked Carapace” use, which blocks damage when it’s up and counter-stuns the enemy, were pretty much on point.

Secret’s YapzOr with the 3-man stolen Storm Hammer

Rubick is one of Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat’s highest impact heroes, and he proved it against TNC Predator by landing a perfectly timed stolen “Storm Hammer”.

No lane cutting allowed against YapzOr

One of the most effective strategies when behind in a Dota 2 game is cutting a lane of creeps so that the opposing team isn’t able to siege your base thanks to backdoor protection. But if the opposing team has a YapzOr, you might want to rethink that tactic, who wrecked PSG.LGD Ame’s Monkey King all game.

Gambit’s Daxak with the all the damage in the world

Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin’s Sven with a double damage rune and “God’s Strength” activated is a terrifying sight to behold.

No glyph, no problem for PSG.LGD Gaming

The casters were prepared for a long drawn-out game with Refresher Orbs, quadruple “Dooms”, and quadruple hexes, but PSG.LGD said “hell no” to all of that and wrecked the Radiant throne in less than 10 seconds.
