With the Online Qualifiers complete, we now know the eight teams that will be competing at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational Regional Qualifiers.
Two Regional Qualifiers will be held:
- The Malaysia Regional Qualifiers on March 7-8 at the Sunway Pyramid in Kuala Lumpur.
- The Indonesia Regional Qualifiers on March 14-15 will be a closed-door event.
The winner of each qualifier will earn a spot at the ONE Esports Indonesia Invitational, second-place finishers will get US$1,500, while third and fourth-place finishers take home US$1,000 and US$800 respectively.
The Invitational takes place on 23-29 November, and will see 12 of the best teams from around the world compete for a prize pool of US$500,000.
Malaysia Regional Qualifier Teams
496 Gaming – Vietnam
496 Gaming won the Vietnam Open Qualifiers, defeating Team Impunity 2-0 in the grand finals, with dominating performances from Trương “Killua” Quốc Nghĩa and Trịnh “458” Văn Thọ.
Cignal Ultra – Philippines
Cignal Ultra won the Philippines Open Qualifiers, coming back from one game down against LGD.International to win 2-1 in the grand finals with Denz “ABAT” Daryll and James “Jamesy” John proving instrumental in both wins.
MS Chonburi – Thailand
MS Chonburi won the Thailand Open Qualifiers, defeating Unknown 2-0 in the grand finals, with stellar play from Japan and Nikko.
Reality Rift – Invited Team
Joining the three online qualifiers will be Singapore’s Reality Rift, who recently competed at the DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig Major.
Reality Rift actually defeated Cignal Ultra to book their place to the Major, so the rematch between the two teams at the Regional Qualifier is sure to be exciting.
Indonesia Regional Qualifier Teams
Tyrants Uprising – Singapore
Tyrants Uprising won the Singapore Open Qualifiers, defeating Cerberus Gaming 2-0 in the Grand Finals on the back of an excellent performance by Song “Sylevan” Yong Le.
Team Oracle – Malaysia
Team Oracle won the Malaysia Open Qualifiers, defeating LGD.International 2-0 in the Grand Finals, thanks to strong showings from Ou “No7” Meng on Void Spirit and Steven “Monster” Noel.
T1 – Indonesia
T1 won the Indonesian Open Qualifiers, defeating Army Geniuses in the Grand Finals. T1 looks like one of the favorites right now, with a core boasting veteran pros, Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier and Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky.
Boom Esports – Invited Team
Joining the three online qualifiers will be Indonesia’s Boom Esports, a promising young Dota 2 team who recently upset TNC Predator and Reality Rift to qualify for the StarLadder Kyiv Minor 2020.
