Bootcamp for The International? For eight teams, that’s going to be a LAN event to hone their skills before the year’s premier Dota 2 event in October.
BetBoom Dacha, featuring a US$250,000 prize pool, is a LAN event that runs from September 10 to September 16, ending just a few weeks before TI12 kicks off, tournament organizer FISSURE announced.
In the meantime, eight teams are battling for qualification into the LAN portion of the event. These include:
- Virtus Pro
- One Move
- Nemiga Gaming
- Level UP
- Luna Galaxy
- Nigma Galaxy
- KZ Team
- Alliance
All but one team will be eliminated, meaning eight total squads will be fighting for a prize pool of US$250,000.
US$250,000 BetBoom Dacha features 8 of the best Dota 2 teams in the world
The LAN stage features some of the most in-form teams in the world right now, including three-time Major champions Gaimin Gladiators and the Riyadh Masters 2023 winner, Team Spirit:
- Team Spirit
- Gaimin Gladiators
- BetBoom Team
- 9Pandas
- Team Aster
- beastcoast
- TBD
One more team — yet to be announced by the organizers — will be invited.
These eight teams will be split into two groups of four, then play a GSL-style group stage — a rarity in pro Dota. The two bottom teams will be eliminated, while the other six move on to the double-elimination playoffs.
