The BTS Pro Series is the third major online regional league, alongside the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online Regional Leagues and the WePlay! Pushka League, to be announced in response to the indefinite suspension of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC).
The DPC was ground to a halt by the coronavirus pandemic last month, with the cancelations of the ESL One Los Angeles Major, which was originally set to run from March 15-22, as well as the DOTA PIT Minor and EPICENTER Major, which were both scheduled for May.
There is only one Major event, the ONE Esports Singapore Major, remaining in the season before The International 2020 is set to begin in August. With that said, the status of the season’s last Major remains up in the air as coronavirus outbreak around the world continue to worsen.
