The Southeast Asian champions are bolstering their lineup with one of the region’s best young stars.
Laotian Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong is the BOOM Dota 2 squad’s new hard carry, officially confirmed as full-time addition, the Indonesian org announced today.
Justine Ryan Evangelista “Tino” Grimaldo, BOOM’s former hard carry, remains on the inactive roster as of the time of writing.
JaCkky first stood in for BOOM Esports during the DPC SEA Winter Regional Finals, helping the team win the grand finals with a dominant 3-1 series over his former team, T1.
The 22-year-old played the first season of the Dota Pro Circuit SEA 2021/2022 with Motivate Trust Gaming, finishing seventh, before switching to BOOM right before the Winter Regional Finals.

The champions of SEA will travel to Dubai for the Gamers Galaxy Dota 2 Invitational Series, featuring 10 of the top 10 teams in the world, including Team Spirit, TSM FTX, and OG. After dominating their home region, BOOM will be looking to prove their worth on the international stage.
BOOM will then look to continue their championship runs through DPC SEA, starting with the second Division I tour on March 16 to April 21.
