Dota 2‘s most prestigious tournament has its first set of contenders.
After a major update with patch 7.36 and Act II of Crownfall, Valve has now turned its focus to the professional scene, announcing the six teams qualified for TI13 (The International 13).
These teams earned their spots based on their performances throughout the 2024 season.
The International 2024 takes place at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena in September, with 16 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams competing for the Aegis of Champions.
All teams qualified for TI13
Following a year filled with high-caliber Dota 2 tournaments worldwide, Valve announced the direct invites for the Dota 2 world championship on May 28, 2024.
“From Dubai to Birmingham to Bucharest and beyond, the year has been packed with top-tier Dota tournaments,” Valve stated in their blog post. “Befitting their dominant performances across the year so far, we’re happy to invite the following teams directly to The International 2024.”
