In this deciding series between EG and Team Liquid at the Leipzig Major Group Stage day 2, Team Liquid took an early lead with Maximilian “qojqva” Brocker’s Alchemist taking the top spot of the gold net chart.
Pushing their advantage, Liquid went for a smoke gank attempt and quickly burst down EG’s Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen’s Elder Titan.
However, in response, Artour “Arteezy” Babaev used his Song of the Siren ultimate leaving qojqva and Michael “miCKe” Vu stationary.
This gave Tal “Fly” Aizik the perfect opportunity to use his Kinetic Field and Static Storm spells to lock them down as Abed “Abed” Yusop dropped his Sanity’s Eclipse ultimate on the two core Liquid heroes.

A few minutes later, Arteezy found an even bigger catch with his Song of the Siren ultimate as three Team Liquid heroes were grouped up perfectly for a Kinetic Field-Static Storm combo.
Cr1t-‘s Elder Titan added to the wombo-combo with his Earth Splitter ultimate and Echo Stomp.
EG ultimately took the series 2-1, and will move on to the upper bracket of the playoffs where they’re set to face Nigma.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid fall to the lower bracket where they’re set to face Virtus.pro in a best-of-one elimination match.
