Fnatic announced that they have officially signed Yang “Deth” Wu Heng to their Dota 2 roster. He will be taking over the offlane position, which moves Ng “ChYuan” Kee Chyuan into the midlane role.
The Southeast Asian team had a roster position open after they moved Kam “Moon” Boon Seng to their inactive roster.
This move allowed ChYuan to return to his original role, which he has been playing for most of his career.
Deth’s resurgence in the Dota 2 scene
Deth competed in 2014 and played for various esports teams throughout his career. He has been part of a slew of Dota 2 rosters like compLexity Gaming, Resurgence, and Galaxy Racer.
Deth got his big break during the ONE Esports Singapore Major, when OB.Neon’s Rafael “Rappy” Sicat Palo couldn’t play with the team after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
Luckily, OB.Neon’s team captain, Andrei Gabriel “skem” Ong, managed to contact Deth in time for him to stand-in for them during the Group Stage.
OB.Neon qualified for the Lower Bracket Playoffs, the team made a Cinderella run by eliminating Fnatic and Vici Gaming with the help of Deth.
They were then eliminated from the ONE Esports Singapore Major after an epic battle against Team Secret in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.

Fnatic must win the Regional Qualifier to make it to The International 10
Fnatic had a rollercoaster DPC season. The team was considered to be the best in Southeast Asia. They finished first during the first DPC 2021 SEA Upper Division season and earned 500 DPC Points.
However, they’ve since struggled with roster changes, and finished the season with 446.25 DPC Points in total.
The Southeast Asian region is stacked with squads looking to qualify into TI10 through the Regional Qualifiers. These teams include BOOM Esports, Execration, 496 Gaming, Omega Esports, and Lilgun.
