On the third day of the OGA Dota PIT 2020 online tournament, PSG.LGD defeated rival Chinese team Royal Never Give Up (RNG), 2-1, in an intense group stage match.
In a thrilling game three, Xu “fy” Linsen on Earthshaker landed a huge Echo Slams that ended up clinching the win for PSG.LGD.
RNG convincingly won the first game behind a dominant showing from Du “Monet” Peng’s Naga Siren and Xie “Super” Junhao’s Shadow Demon, who recorded a game-high 16 assists.
PSG.LGD then evened the series with clutch performances from Lu “Somnus`M” Yao’s Ember Spirit and Yap Jian “xNova” Wei’s support Enchantress, who finished the game with an 8/2/12 KDA.
In the deciding game of the series, PSG.LGD punished RNG’s decision to go with a middle lane Shadow Demon for Gao “Setsu” Zhenxiong. Somnus`M controlled the middle lane matchup with his Void Spirit and helped PSG.LGD secure an early gold and experience lead for his team.
After PSG.LGD took down Roshan and claimed the Aegis of the Immortal for Yang “Chalice” Shenyi’s offlane Riki at the 22-minute mark, RNG decided to go in for a smoke gank at the middle lane.
However, with Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei’s Bristleback baiting four RNG heroes, fy’s Earthshaker was able to quickly blink in and drop a massive Echo Slam ultimate eliminating two members of RNG in an instant.

A few minutes later, PSG.LGD finished the game after securing another teamwipe. Somnus`M’s Void Spirit bursted down RNG’s heroes while empowered by a Double Damage rune, while fy continued to disable the enemy support heroes.
Chalice’s decision to join team fights early also nullified RNG’s Bounty Hunter pick and prevented the enemy team from earning extra gold from Track kills.
With their 2-1 victory, PSG.LGD maintains the top spot in Group A. They are now at a 2-0 record. Meanwhile, in Group B, Invictus Gaming leads their group after defeating both EHOME and CDEC 2-1.
