After having to deal with a week full of turmoil, Chinese Dota 2 super team Elephant was finally able to focus on what they’re the best at, which is putting together incredible performances.
This is exactly what former Vici Gaming star carry player, Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun did against PSG.LGD during the China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 Group Stage. After the first game, thanks to some winning plays by Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida on the offlane Axe, Elephant leaned on Eurus in the final two games, where he recorded an 18/4/7 Game 2 on the Sven and a 20/1/11 KDA on the Morphling.
In Game 2, PSG.LGD’s plan was to focus down Eurus’ Sven and clean up the rest of Elephant’s heroes after. However, with Zhou “Yang” Haiyang and Xu “fy” Linsen providing clutch stuns for Elephant, Eurus was always able to get away on a sliver of health points remaining.
As the game progressed, and Eurus’s net worth ballooned out of control, he began to deal out ridiculous amounts of damage against PSG.LGD. He even one-shot Wang “Ame” Chunyu’s Spectre after dishing out 2,636 damage in a single swing while his God Strength ultimate was still activated. Eurus then melted away the rest of PSG.LGD’s heroes once Elephant began to siege the dire base.

In the final game of the series, Eurus showed off his insane Morphling skills by utilizing the Morph Replicate ultimate that allowed him to copy PSG.LGD’s hero spells. This allowed Eurus to have unlimited range during team fights, which he made good use of by bursting down enemy heroes.
Elephant would eventually win Game 3 with a 46-12 team kill score. This goes to show what the Chinese super team is actually capable of achieving. Lu “Somnus`M” Yao and fy were the two best players from PSG.LGD previously, and the same could be argued for Eurus and Yang from Vici Gaming.
Now playing on the same side and with 4AM out of the picture, the team can now just focus on dominating the Chinese Dota 2 scene.
Following their 2-1 victory over PSG.LGD, Elephant moves up to third place with a 4-2 record. This puts them right behind top-slotted Vici Gaming with their 5-1 record, and runner-up Team Aster with their 5-2 record.
Elephant will be playing on the final day of the group stage against Royal Never Give Up on November 23.
