Team Liquid is continuing their roster shuffle in preparation for the next Dota 2 DPC season. Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen will return to the team while midlaner Max “qojqva” Bröcker will move to a full time streaming position.

Team Liquid was unable to secure a direct invite to The International 10 (TI10) due to mixed performances in the 2021 DPC. Team Liquid secured 400 DPC points out of the required 800 needed for a direct invite.

The team had an impressive run in the Western Europe open qualifier but ultimately fell 2-1 to Nigma Galaxy in the lower bracket quarterfinals.

Team Liquid is maintaining that mystery with the announcement that MATUMBAMAN joining the squad. He has played as the team carry with Team Liquid when they won TI7 and maintained that role ever since.

With Michael “miCKe” Vu still on the squad, and Team Liquid lacking a midlaner, will we see a role shift for MATUMBAMAN?
