One of Dota 2’s greatest-ever players is back full-time.

Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi is returning to Nigma Galaxy’s active roster, the organization announced last night. The 26-year-old has officially been on a break since December 6 last year, but has played some events for his own team — as well as others.

His last competitive match came during DreamLeague season 20 when he stood-in for Shopify Rebellion, while he last played for Nigma in DreamLeague season 19. Both were online tournaments that meant he could play from home.

Miracle-‘s return is a welcome boost for NGX’s squad heading into 2024. The team continues to feature KuroKy as its hard support and captain, while SumaiL returns as its midlaner. This likely means Miracle- will play position one, leaving two roles still unfulfilled.

The roster is missing two long-time stalwarts after the departure of Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov and Maroun “GH” Merhej. The offlane duo had played together since 2017 with Team Liquid, with barely any changes to their roles within the team.

The organization confirmed that all three members will play an active role into 2024, with their last two players announced before the new year.
