After so many years together, one of Dota’s most legendary group of players might finally be breaking up.
Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi is the sole member left on Nigma Galaxy’s active roster, following the departure or inactivity of the four other players.
Where does Nigma Galaxy go from here?
Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov, who has played with KuroKy for more than eight years — first teaming up under 5Jungz, moving on to their legendary stint with Team Liquid, then Nigma Galaxy — has officially left the team.
Another longtime KuroKy teammate, Maroun “GH” Merhej, is taking a break from competitive Dota and moving to the bench alongside Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi.
Yuma “Yuma” Langlet and Kasra “Mikey” Mesbah, who both joined Nigma in May, also officially left the roster.
Considering the massive roster reshuffle has already taken place, it’s difficult to see the next steps Nigma should take — though without the Dota Pro Circuit, roster changes between teams might be more frequent.
NGX last played with their full roster at BetBoom Dacha in September, before conspicuously missing out on the qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur.
Nigma Galaxy has existed since 2019, forming in the wake of KuroKy and co.’s departure from Team Liquid.
Despite their storied history, the team has failed to impact the competitive scene significantly, thus far failing to qualify for any editions of The International.
