Team Secret is looking to players old and new to fill up some critical spots in its Dota 2 roster.

Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan and Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng are the Western Europe organization’s newest additions to its player roster, while MidOne’s Team SMG teammate, Tue “ah fu” Soon Chuan joins as coach, Team Secret announced last night.

Armel “Armel” Tabios and Lee “Heen” Seung Gon are moved to the inactive roster, while loanee Saieful “Fbz” Ilham’s contract will not be extended. All three were part of Team Secret’s final push towards The International, where they fell to both eventual winners Entity and Quest Esports in the Regional Qualifiers.

While Armel and Fbz were new additions last year to Team Secret, this marks the first coaching change for Secret in four years. Heen were part of Secret’s most successful iterations, helping lead the organization to its only two podium finishes at The International — third at TI10 and second at TI11.

MidOne has had a long history with Secret, spending three years with the team from 2016 to 2019. With Secret, MidOne established himself as one of the top midlaners in the world, helping the team to titles at the Paris Major, Changsha Major, and DreamLeague seasons eight and nine.

BOOM had a short-lived stint with Secret earlier in the year, including a role swap from his usual midlane to position three. The player left the team in June, however, and was replaced by Fbz for the Regional Qualifiers.
