The first day of ESL One Birmingham 2019 is already providing fans with amazing Dota 2 highlights.
Take for example, the match between powerhouses PSG.LGD and Team Secret in the group stages of the tournament. PSG.LGD’s Yang “Chalice” Shenyi on Dark Seer bided his time in the sidelines, waiting for the perfect opportunity to land his Vacuum into Centaur stun combo followed Dark Seer’s Wall of Replica ultimate.
His teammates followed up with an encircling Mass Serpent Wards to keep Secret in place for Lu “Maybe” Yao’s Ember Spirit to jump in and clean up.
Ten minutes later into the game, Chalice does it again, but this time Michał “Nisha” Jankowski’s Juggernaut was able to cast Blade Fury” right in time to avoid the stun.
Chalice continued to land three-man Vacuum into Wall of Replica combos, but instead of a Centaur stun this time around, Lu “Maybe” Yao’s Ember Spirit used three of his Fire Remnants to blow up Team Secret’s heroes.
With Team Secret 20,000 gold behind, PSG.LGD had no problems taking the Dire base thanks to Maybe’s Aghanim’s Scepter-boosted Ember Spirit, which increases the range and speed of Fire Remnants ultimate.
