Red Bull’s premier Dota 2 competition is back and, this time, it’s making its way to Singapore.
The competition is going to be fast and intense, so we’ve listed down everything you need to know about Red Bull River Runes 2021.
What is Red Bull River Runes 2021?
The tournament is a one-on-one hero mirror match that offers fast-paced action for the best Dota 2 players in the world. Players’ knowledge, mechanics, and overall Dota 2 skills will be put to the test.
Red Bull River Runes 2021 is only open to players in Singapore, who are 18 years of age or above. Competitors will be competing in a custom map within Dota 2.
The competition will have two online qualifiers, leading up to the National Final on November 20, 2021. Finalists will be fighting for the Grand Prize of an epic gaming setup.
Each qualifier will have 32 participants, with the top four from each qualifier advancing to the National Finals.
How to play Red Bull River Runes 2021?
The objective is to destroy the enemy tier one tower, or to kill the enemy hero three times to progress further into the competition.
Players need to factor in modifications to the early game, rune changes, free items, and much more. To make matches balanced, players will be using the same hero against one another. They also start at level three, with a Blink Dagger, a Bottle, and a Sentry Ward.
Red Bull River Runes 2021 event dates
Registration for Qualifiers 1 and 2 will open on September 20 and will close on November 5. Brackets for both qualifiers will be announced shortly after registration closes.
Qualifier 1 will take place on November 13, and Qualifier 2 will take place on November 14.
Red Bull River Runes 2021 format
The 64 participants will be split into two online open qualifiers. Qualifiers 1 and 2 will consist of 32 players with four finalists advancing from each tournament. The eight finalists will compete in an offline National Finals to be held on November 20, 2021.
How to register?
Participants of the tournament must be residents of Singapore. Permanent residents, students, and long-term pass holders are also eligible to join the competition. All players must be 18 years of age or older. To register, go to Red Bull’s official website.
