Former Virtus.pro CIS legends Alexey “Solo” Berezin, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, and Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev will be joined by ex-Evil Geniuses midlaner and The International 2015 champion Syed “SumaiL” Hassan in the upcoming EPIC League. The team will also include former Virtus.pro player Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov.

The news broke first when tournament host EPICENTER tweeted the announcement that “Just Error” received an invitation to play EPIC League’s closed qualifier event.

After EPICENTER’s announcement, Virtus.pro released an official statement which revealed that No[o]ne, Solo, and Zayac have all departed from the organization. The three CIS players were initially removed from VP’s main Dota 2 roster a few days ago.

“We know that the players want to participate in tournaments right now, so we came to a mutual agreement and yesterday was their last day in Virtus.pro,” said VP CEO Sergey Glamazda. “We are thankful to the players for their enormous contribution to Virtus.pro and wish them to reach the desired goal at The International.”

VP’s statement also listed down Solo and No[o]ne’s achievements during their four-year run with the organization, “[they] won 16 tournaments, including five Majors, and placed fifth/sixth place at TI twice.” Meanwhile, Zayac’s achievements with the organization during his eight-month stay was also highlighted where he helped VP win ESL One Los Angeles 2020 and Parimatch League Season 3.

The team will be joined by two superstar Dota 2 talents in Ramzes and SumaiL which completed the CIS super team. Ramzes was recently removed by Evil Geniuses from its active roster earlier this month. Meanwhile, SumaiL has remained inactive ever since he departed from OG’s Dota 2 roster in July.

Just Error’s Dota 2 roster:

  • (1) Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev
  • (2) Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  • (3) Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko
  • (4) Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov
  • (5) Alexey “Solo” Berezin

Just Error debuted in the closed qualifier of EPIC League, where they defeated fellow CIS stack Yellow Submarine 3-1 to qualifier for the Division 1 tournament that is set to begin today. During the best-of-five match, we saw Ramzes return to the hard carry role, while No[o]ne has made the switch to the offlane position. This also meant SumaiL is now back to playing the midlane.

SumaiL and the CIS legends are scheduled to play Adrian “Fata” Trinks’ mudgolems stack in a group stage match on November 12.
