Team Nigma has started their DPC season 2 run with a bang, defeating rival squad Team Secret in their opening match of DreamLeague Season 15 DPC upper division.
Team Nigma’s new-look roster, with Igor “iLTW” Filatov in the hard carry role, and Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi returning to his favored midlane position, far exceeded even the most optimistic fan’s expectations.
In game one, Team Secret took a commanding lead in the early to mid-game, and at one point, Team Secret held a 14,000 gold lead.
However, when Team Secret decided to contest Nigma inside the Rosh Pit and attempted to focus down iLTW’s Juggernaut, Maroun “GH” Merhej was ready and waiting with a Snowball save that completely turned the fight to Nigma’s favor. That was all Nigma needed to seize momentum as they took control of the game and went up 1-0.
In Game 2, Nigma led from the start with a Gyrocopter and Io combo. But the real stars of the show were Miracle-’s midlane Sand King and Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov’s offlane Darkseer. MinD_ContRoL’s Vacuum Wall combo helped Miracle- land clash-winning Burrowstrikes that stunned multiple Secret heroes.

Team Nigma showed that, with Miracle- back in the midlane, they’re capable of more flexible drafts that will undoubtedly catch more teams than just Secret by surprise.
During the post-game interview, Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi, shared that he was initially worried about iLTW because he didn’t know how he would handle the pressure, “but man, he played insane, I don’t need to be worried,” concluded the Team Nigma captain.
