The International will take place in Southeast Asia for the first time ever, as Dota 2’s highlight event heads to Singapore for its 11th edition.
The official Dota 2 Twitter account first dropped hints about the Garden City by posting various pictures of the game’s minifigures around Singapore. While some keen eyes might have guessed the location, the official confirmation first dropped during the grand finals of the Stockholm Major, as well as a social media post.

Singapore last played host to a Dota Pro Circuit event in 2021 during the ONE Esports Singapore Major, where Invictus Gaming won its first Major title with a thrilling comeback against Evil Geniuses.
For those already eager to plan their schedules, TI11 will take place in October. The exact dates will likely be confirmed later on, along with ticketing information.
The DPC will still see at least two more LAN events—the Arlington Major in August, and a last-chance wildcard that will see 12 teams fight for two spots—before moving to the Garden City to cap off the competitive season for 2022.
