Team Secret has returned to their winning ways, earning their first match win of the DPC Europe season 2 upper division against Hellbear Smashers at the start of Week 2.

Team Secret’s star midlaner, Michał “Nisha” Jankowski, outplayed Hellbear Smashers’ Queen of Pain in the midlane and hit level 6 first. With Beastmaster’s Primal Roar online, Nisha destroyed his midlane counterpart, Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau, earning three kills in the first eight minutes of the game.

Nisha then rushed to build an Aghanim’s Scepter that he completed at the 12-minute mark. He began spamming his Wild Axes at every target he could see because the Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade meant that the ability had no cooldown at all.

The upgrade also increased its damage and reduced its mana cost. Despite being on a melee hero, Nisha was playing Beastmaster like a glass canon ranged damage dealer. He even picked up an Aeon Disk to prevent himself from being burst down.

Even against Hellbear Smashers’ hard carry Medusa, Nisha threw a barrage of Wild Axes that drained her mana and health pool. During one particular clash, Nisha casted his Wild Axes ability 18 times in less than a minute.

The game’s shoutcasters, Austin Capitalist Walsh and Kyle Freedman, were shocked by Nisha’s damage output, as his Beastmaster dealt 8,014 damage in a single team fight.

A hero that got nerfed in Dota 2’s most recent 7.29b patch, the Aghanim’s Scepter buff to Beastmaster’s Wild Axes bonus damage dropped from +40 to +30. According to the casting duo however, this small nerf wasn’t enough.

Nisha finished with a ridiculous 18/0/9 KDA record, having done 32,900 damage against Hellbear Smashers in Game 1.

Team Secret won their match against Hellbear Smashers 2-1, moving them up to a 1-1 record in DreamLeague Season 15 DPC Europe upper division. Team Secret’s next match will take place on April 24 against Tundra Esports.
