What are Account Levels in Fortnite and how can you check them?

If you’re new to Fortnite, you might not be familiar with the term ‘Account Levels.’ This is mainly because the game doesn’t clearly explain what they are or how to check them.

But in this ONE Esports guide, we’ll explain what Account Levels are in Fortnite and how you can earn them.

What are Account Levels in Fortnite?

Account Levels in Fortnite represent your combined levels across all seasons. For example, your current season level might be 30, but your Account Level will be much higher.

In each season, you can go up to level 200. This is the level cap of every season. So, if you reach level 200 in one season and do the same in the next two seasons, then your Account Level will be 600. 

The level displayed on your screen is just your current level for the ongoing season. To check your Account Level, go to the main menu and open the Career section. Your Account Level will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen.

For some players, it can be more than 1,000. For others, it can be below 100 if they started playing Fortnite recently.

Keep in mind that having a high Account Level doesn’t affect gameplay, and you won’t receive any rewards for it. In simple terms, the Account Level just shows how many times you’ve leveled up since you started playing.

How to earn Account Levels in Fortnite

The only way to increase your Account Level in Fortnite is by leveling up your character. For this, you need to gain tons of XP.

Basically, just try to get as many kills as you can in a match, complete daily, weekly, and monthly challenges, keep an eye out for limited-time challenges, focus on quests, play different game modes, and do everything else that can help you gain tons of XP.

Some challenges also require you to earn Account Levels. For instance, you can currently get the free Felina skin by earning 50 Account Levels.
