Epic Games has introduced a brand new cosmetic item in Fortnite with Kicks, luxury shoes players can wear with their skins. Here’s all you need to know about Kicks in Fortnite.
Epic has exciting news for players stuck with characters sporting boring shoes—or none at all. Kicks, the new self-explanatory cosmetic item, let players snag fancy footwear for their characters.
While the variety isn’t massive yet, it’s enough to drip out plain or barefoot outfits in Fortnite. The collection includes some original designs from Epic, but all eyes are on high-end Nike shoes.
Instead of rolling out all designs at once, Epic has added Kicks in waves. The first pair was released on November 14, and eight new models were recently added.

How to check Fortnite Kicks compatibility with skins
All nine models of Kicks are not compatible with all Fortnite skins. You can style these items with over 500 skins, but not all can wear “Air Jordan 1 High OG” or other pairs. Thankfully, there’s a simple way to check Fortnite Kicks compatibility with outfits and skins.
- Start Fortnite and wear the skin you want to style with Kicks
- Go to the Fortnite item shop and click on the Kicks you want to purchase
- On the item page, click the “Kicks Usability” button
- A chat box will appear, notifying whether your equipped outfit can wear Kicks or not. It will also mention exactly how many of your owned skins can wear Kicks.
Alternatively, refer to Epic’s Fortnite Kicks compatibility list to see what outfits can wear the shoes in Fortnite.
