How to get Oni Masks in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Oni Masks aren’t something that can be obtained by completing specific challenges or visiting certain locations. Instead, you’ll need to find them in chests.
While they are rare to get, Oni Masks can be obtained by opening regular and Elemental chests. The latter have a higher chance of containing one, as they offer unique loot.
Both types of chests can be found across the map. However, Elemental chests are mostly located at POIs rather than small buildings or sheds near them. Additionally, the drops are random, so you’ll need to keep opening chests until you find one.
What do Oni Masks do in Fortnite?
As mentioned earlier, there are two Oni Masks available in the game: Fire Oni Mask and Void Oni Mask.
The Fire Oni Mask is perfect for players focused on dealing damage. It allows you to fire projectiles at enemies, each dealing 100 damage, making it possible to eliminate an enemy instantly.
The Void Mask, on the other hand, allows you to teleport from one place to another. This can be extremely useful when you’re stuck in a tough fight with low health or ammo and need to escape quickly.
While you can find these two masks in chests, you can also obtain their Mythic variants by defeating bosses. The Fire Oni Mask Mythic can be acquired by defeating Shogun, while Night Rose drops the Void Oni Mask Mythic upon defeat.
The Mythic versions can be used more times than the regular ones, but obtaining them is challenging, as defeating the bosses is no easy task.
