Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has finally arrived with a Japanese theme, featuring new weapons, battle pass, POIs, bosses and more. Among these is the Fortnite Shogun X boss, a samurai demon warrior that you can defeat to get the Wanderer Medallion, Mythic Typhoon Blade and Shogun X Fire Oni Mask.

However, it’s not an easy task to find him randomly on the map while fighting with other players. Thus, here is where you can find the Shogun X boss, along with a few tips to beat him.
Where to find Fortnite Shogun X location & drops
Unlike other bosses in Fortnite, Shogun X doesn’t have a fixed spawn location. Instead, he roams around freely on the map and not only this, you will have to beat him twice at two different locations in order to get all the drops.
After the match begins, the location of Shogun X will be marked on the map for you with a Silver Oni mask icon. However, since he can move around, the location will keep on changing.
Once you beat him for the first time, he will disappear and spawn again after Storm 4. This time, his location will be marked with a Red & Golden Oni mask icon. Once you reach its place, you will have to use Air Sprites to go to the floating island to fight Shogun X.
He will drop a random mythic weapon upon getting killed the first time and if you are successful in defeating him the second time, you will get the Wanderer Medallion, Mythic Typhoon Blade and Shogun X Fire Oni Mask.
However, keep in mind that other players will also be there to defeat the boss, so you will have to fight them as well before moving on to Shogun X.
Tips to defeat Shogun X in Fortnite
Before you begin your battle against Shogun X, make sure that you have a strong weapon, like assault rifles, that will deal damage in mid-range so you won’t have to get close to him. Also, collect items like Slurp Juice and Med Kits that will help you survive against the boss if you take damage.
Now that you are ready to face him, it’s important to stay safe from four of his deadly movesets. Shogun X will draw his sword and dash forward to slash you. He can also throw Fireballs that will deal massive damage. Apart from this, fire blasts that occur after he rises into the sky, along with his teleport ability, will catch you off guard.
Thus, it is important to save your stamina and sprint left and right whenever he initiates one of his signature attacks. Also, between his attacks, you will get a short period when you can attack him to take out his HP and eventually kill him easily.
