With the release of the Fortnite v31.30 patch, Epic Games has added a countdown for the upcoming Fortnitemares 2024 live event. It’s an annual Halloween-themed event in Fortnite where you’ll witness a variety of spooky elements such as cosmetics, POIs, weapons, and more.
As mentioned earlier, an interactive countdown for the Fortnitemares 2024 live event has been initiated and here are all the details that you must know.
When and how to watch Fortnitemares 2024 live event—Chapter 5 Season 4
Fortnitemares 2024 live event has been officially confirmed to go live on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. ET. This information came to light with the release of the v31.30 update, which incorporated a live-event countdown timer right next to the Reckless Railway location on Fortnite Island.
In order to watch the Fortnitemares 2024 event, players must log in at least 60 minutes before the countdown timer ends in order to avoid long matchmaking queues.
About 30 minutes before the event, Epic Games will add a special mode option in the main menu which you can join to witness the Fortnite live event.

All Fortnitemares 2024 leaks
It’s no secret that that upcoming Fortnitemares 2024 event is going to deliver a flood of new content. Thankfully, we’ve already got a sneak peak of the upcoming content which confirms Fortnite is gearing up for even more horror crossovers.
First of all, Leatherface, a classic horror character from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, will join the Fortnite roster once the live event ends. The character can also be seen holding his iconic chainsaw which will potentially be featured as a melee weapon or a pickaxe.
Leakers also revealed that Doom’s Tower will be destroyed during the event, and we’ll likely use Tony Stark’s upgraded Rift Beacons to try and stop the chaos. Mephisto will soon appear as an NPC on the map who will offer exciting new services.
When it comes to the timer at the Reckless Railway, this event will take us straight into a Halloween showdown at Castle Doom. Doom has been gearing up for an evil plan this entire season in order to summon Mephisto, the Marvel devil. According to leaks, the event will also feature a cinematic cutscene, likely the Fortnitemares story trailer.
