Instead, the Rail Gun can be found as common loot in chests, supply drops, or on the ground. However, it is a rare weapon, so the chances for you to find one in a random chest are low.
The best way to get your hands on the Rail Gun is by exploring popular POIs like Flooded Frogs and Masked Meadows. The more popular a location, the higher the chances of finding a special weapon.
How to use the Rail Gun in Fortnite
However, it’s important to keep in mind that the Rail Gun doesn’t operate like a regular SMG or Assault Rifle. You cannot fire bullets from it. Instead, the weapon fires a powerful beam, which you need to charge first.
Simply point the weapon at your target, hold the fire button to charge it, and release to fire. The longer you hold, the stronger the charge, leading to higher damage output. However, this also makes it a difficult weapon to use.
Another important point to keep in mind is that there are two variants of the Rail Gun: Epic and Legendary. The Epic Rail Gun deals 90 damage, while the Legendary one deals 95 damage. On top of that, the Legendary Rail Gun has a slightly better reload time.
