You might have seen users on Reddit going crazy over the possible inclusion of aim assist in Fortnite Ballistic. If you’re also wondering about the same, stick with us as we’ll answer this burning question.
Valorant and CS2 are finally getting competition from Epic Games, as Fortnite has finally launched its own 5v5 FPS gameplay mode called Ballistic. However, as always, many players are eager to know if Fortnite Ballistic has aim assist, just like the standard battle royale mode.
Does Fortnite Ballistic have aim assist
It’s no secret that aim assist gives an unfair advantage to controller users over mouse and keyboard players, especially in FPS games.
Is there aim assist in Fortnite Ballistic?
Simply put, Fortnite Ballistic indeed offers aim assist for controller players. At this point, you might be wondering how it’s comparable to the battle royale mode. After several hours of playthrough, we can conclude that it’s more or less similar to the Fortnite BR modes, as we didn’t notice a huge difference in this particular mode.
In fact, a Reddit user commented, “Aim assist in Fortnite Ballistic is just like what you’ve already experienced in the normal mode, and I don’t think the developers will tone anything down. Most Fortnite players are on consoles or mobile, and even among the PC players, most use controllers to use aim assist in their matches.”
Honestly, the existence of aim assist in Fortnite Ballistic didn’t surprise us at all, as it’s generally become a trend. The recently launched VALORANT console also has the aim assist feature, but the best part is it’s fair for all the players as it doesn’t support the cross-play functionality. As a result, VALORANT PC players can’t complain about the console players enjoying aim-assist.
However, we can’t say the same for Fortnite Ballistic, as console and PC players can match up against each other, which means controller users, especially the veterans, will have an upper hand over players using the keyboard and mouse.
Surprisingly, you can also tune it as per your preferences, which simply means you can tweak aim assist strength by heading to Fortnite’s controller settings.
However, keep in mind that changing it will affect the performance across all the modes, as the game doesn’t have a separate option to tweak aim assist for each gameplay mode, not at least as of writing this article.
