Sprites are cute little globules of power that make your journey in Fortnite a tad easy. Here’s how to find Sprites in Fortnite and use them.

Fortnite Chapter 6 is packed with brand-new content that will potentially alter the game meta in the coming months. From new movement tactics to damage-dealing masks, the season introduces plenty of features that promise to shake up gameplay.

Alongside all this, Epic has added cute little creatures called Sprites that grant healing, rewards, and more. However, players will need to jump a few hoops to take full advantage of them.

There are three types of Sprites. Two are quite common, whereas one is extremely rare to find.

Here are all Sprites and their abilities in Fortnite.

  • Air Sprites (white): Shoots user into the air when thrown
  • Earth Sprites (brown): Use items, receiving rewards in exchange
  • Water Sprites (blue): Creates a fountain when thrown that replenishes both health and shield

Players can either exchange Sprites for loot or keep them in their inventory to benefit from their abilities. At one time, players can store up to three sets of the same Sprites but cannot carry extras of different types.

All three Sprites are scattered randomly across the map, so no need to go out of your way to find them. However, they are most likely to appear North of Demon’s Dojo, the forests of Magic Mosses, and West of Flooded Frogs.

When you find a Sprite, you may keep it in your inventory to get healing with the water element or to launch themselves in the air with the air element. Earth Sprites, on the other hand, will keep producing rewards each time you consume them an item.

However, Sprites can be used in more than one way. If you don’t think the abilities are worth the inventory slot, you may exchange them for a reward by finding a Sprite Shrine.

How to find a Sprite Shrine in Fortnite

If you already have a Sprite in your inventory, your radar will highlight areas to locate nearby Sprite Shrines. Simply follow the radar to reach your destination.

Once you have found a Sprite Shrine, interact with it to return a Sprite and get Boons in exchange. Before dropping loot, the Sprite Shrine will also light up to reveal nearby Sprites if you wish to collect more.

Here are all Boons Sprite Shrine can drop in exchange for a Sprite:

  • Fire Boon – You reload weapons faster
  • Void Boon – Once you eliminate a player, this Boon will reveal nearby enemies
  • Wind Boon – You move faster with your pickaxe equipped
  • Water Boon – All squadmates in the water body will gain health and shield along with the Boon owner.
