How to get Soil and Sand in LEGO Fortnite
So you’re wondering how to get Soil and Sand in LEGO Fortnite? Use a Shovel on the ground. Depending on the biome, you will either get Soil or Sand. If you use the Shovel in the Desert biome, Dry Valley, you will get sand. On the other hand, if you use the Shovel in biomes like the Grasslands, you will get Soil.
Now, if you haven’t got a Shovel on you, no problem, as you can make one via the Crafting Bench using the following materials:
- Knotroot Rod x3
- Plank x1
You can make Knotroot Rod using Knotroot at the Lumber Mill that you can craft via the “Utility” section of the Build menu using Wood x8 and Granite x15.
As for Plank, it’s comparatively more straightforward to make than the Knotroot Rod, as all you need is Wood and the Lumber Mill. You can use a single piece of Wood to craft a Plank.
Once you have these Knotroot Rod and the Plank, head to the Crafting Bench and craft the Shovel. Now, open your inventory and drag and drop the Shovel in your hotbar. Now, press the respective key to equip the Shovel and press the action button to dig up Soil from the ground.
That being said, if you haven’t yet found the Desert biome in LEGO Fornite, head to the following coordinates: 0.24, -0.02, 0.03, and you will find yourself in the Desert biome, Dry Valley.
How to use Soil and Sand in LEGO Fortnite
Soil is used for building Garden Plot in LEGO Fornite where you can plant seeds. Meanwhile, you need Sand to make Glass using the Metal Smelter, which is required to craft some new tools like Spyglass and the Compass.
