Where to find the Flare Gun in Fortnite
The Flare Gun in Fortnite isn’t a weapon that can be acquired by completing a specific task or opening a particular type of chest. You also won’t get it by interacting with an NPC.
Instead, the Flare Gun can be acquired by opening Birthday Presents and chests. On top of that, you can also find it as normal loot on the ground.
The Flare Gun glows blue, so it is easy to spot. If you see a bunch of loot on the floor and one is glowing blue, rush toward the spot, as it might be the weapon you are looking for.
Aside from that, there isn’t a specific location that will give you the Flare Gun. So, you can try searching for it at any location, but we’d recommend exploring the major POIs first.
Once you’ve acquired the Flare Gun, you can fire it only six times before it disappears. Unfortunately, you can’t collect ammo for it, so you’ll need to make every shot count.
When you hit a target with the Flare Gun, the bullet not only deals damage but also marks all enemies within a 50-meter radius for 60 seconds. Additionally, you can use it to set wooden structures and other objects on fire.
The Flare Gun’s ability to mark enemies makes it great for locating hidden opponents. This is especially useful in the final circle of a match, where most enemies are hiding behind cover.
