The much anticipated Fortnite Doctor Doom quests have gone live and one of them requires you to survive fire damage four times. Although the challenge is self-explanatory, completing it isn’t as easy as it sounds because fire deals significant damage in Fortnite.
So if you’re looking for an easy and effective way to survive fire damage in Fortnite, we’ve got you covered with this comprehensive guide.
Easiest way to survive fire damage in Fortnite
The most convenient way to survive fire damage is by blowing up the gas stations in Fortnite. These gas stations are scattered across different locations on the map, and we’ve also marked their exact locations in the below image for your convenience.
Once you’re at a gas station, all you need to do is hit one of the fuel pumps with your harvesting tool or any weapon. We recommend using a gun, as you can damage the fuel pump from a distance.
Once a fuel pump is destroyed, you’ll notice flames on the ground, which generally last for around 10–15 seconds. At this point, all you need to do is stand on the top of the flame for a moment and run away. As a result, you’ll take slight damage during this process.
Finally, repeat the same process (walk in and out of the fire) three times, and the quest to survive fire damage four times will be marked as completed. You can also confirm by heading to the Doctor Doom tab within the quest section.
Once you complete the primary objective, you’ll receive a whopping 20,000 XP for your efforts, which will eventually help you in leveling up this season’s battle pass.
Apart from the aforementioned mentioned, you can also use items like fire torches to set yourself on fire and survive the fire damage in Fortnite. However, the success rate of this method is relatively low, which is why we strongly recommend sticking to the gas station method.
