The Fortnitmares 2024 update marks the addition of a new NPC known as Mephisto.
In case you don’t know, Mephisto is a prominent fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. Although he is a villain, Epic Games has decided to add him as an NPC instead of a boss.
As a result, players can purchase various services after spotting him on the Fortnite island. In this ONE Esports guide, we share details on how to find him in the game.
Mephisto NPC location
This new spawns in the eastern side of The Underworld POI. Once you’re close to his location, you’ll notice a message icon on the minimap which represents his exact location.
We’ve also marked the exact spot in the above image for your convenience. You’ll find him sitting on his throne inside a huge hall.
Since he has the traits of a villain, he doesn’t want your gold bars when you purchase services from him. Instead, he wants a small portion of your green health bar.
For instance, you can offer him 20 HP to receive a random weapon, 40 HP for a mysterious ability, or, for the riskiest deal, be left with only 1 HP in exchange for rebooting your entire squad.
Unlike the reboot van, it instantly recalls your teammates, but make sure you have a med kit to heal after the deal with the new NPC. It’s worth noting that this option will be unavailable when playing solo.
It’s also possible to become Mephisto in the game but that comes at a cost as you have to purchase its bundle. The entire collection costs 2,000 V-Bucks and can be purchased from the item shop. The bundle contains the following items:
- Mephisto battle royale and LEGO outfits
- Demon’s Hand pickaxe
- Hellfire Flare weapon skin
- Mephisto’s Cloak glider
As always, it’s available for a limited time, so make sure to grab the skins before they leave the Item Shop.
