North American esports organization, TSM, has officially entered the Valorant competitive scene with the announcement of its newly formed roster featuring ex-CS:GO professional players.
North American pro players, Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik and Matthew “Wardell” Yu have decided to retire from CS:GO to pursue a career in Valorant.
Meanwhile, James “hazed” Cobb, Stephen “reltuC” Cutler, and Tayler “Drone” Johnson are coming out of retirement to compete in Riot’s new competitive first-person shooter. The TSM Valorant roster will be joined by veteran coach Taylor “tailored” Broomall.
“We’re thrilled to be working together with such an iconic organization,” said the TSM Valorant team. “Deciding to move on from CS:GO to Valorant was a hard decision to make but with a prestigious organization like TSM backing you, it makes the whole thing way more exciting. TSM is a cornerstone of the esports community and we look forward to the opportunity to build something with them moving forward in a new and exciting space.”
TSM’s first competitive Valorant team will be captained by hazed, a professional Counter-Strike player since 2010. He’s played for other notable North American esports organizations like Counter Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming in the past. Subroza and Wardell will also be headlining the new roster, as they have shown immense individual talent throughout their CS:GO careers.
With Valorant’s worldwide launch on June 2 fast approaching, fans can expect to hear more esports organizations announcing their own official squads.
